    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The continued trend of clubs selling their PSL statuses has seen the erosion of institutions that had built solid legacies in South African football.

This comes as SuperSport have established themselves as a powerhouse in South African football, winning the league title three times and a number of trophies.

Bloemfontein Celtic is another club that sold their PSL status in 2021, leaving their huge and passionate fan base stranded, before they began backing Marumo Gallants who would now be pushing to keep the supporters from Siwelele FC.
