THE BIGGER PICTURE
In the 2023/24 season, Wydad Casablanca finished sixth in the Botola Pro League table.
They missed out on Caf competitions and Mokwena was supposed to help them return to the top.
By virtue of winning the Caf Champions League in the 2021/22 season and reaching the final a year later, the Moroccans qualified for the expanded 2025 Fifa Club World Cup.
“As I say goodbye, I carry unforgettable memories from Wydad, a club that will forever remain in my heart,” he stated.
“I wish the team, staff, and fans tremendous success in the new season and the Club World Cup. May you continue to make history and inspire us all. Dima Wydad," Mokwena concluded.
