Orlando Pirates vs Stellenbosch MTN8 Preview: Kick-off time, TV channel & squad news

Premier Soccer League sides Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch are set for a high-stakes MTN8 final clash at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday.

While Pirates are looking to defend the title again and become the only side that has lifted it on four straight occasions, the Cape Winelands outfit is looking for their first top-eight title.

To reach the final, Pirates defeated Polokwane City 2-0 in the quarter-final before a determined display gave them victory over Mamelodi Sundowns in the two-legged semi-final.

For Stellies, they secured a narrow 3-2 victory over AmaZulu in the quarter-final courtesy of a late strike by Langelihle Phili. In the semi-final, they had a rather easy outing as they defeated Sekhukhune 2-0 in the first leg before a 3-1 win in the return leg action.

Abdeslam Ouaddou, who recently got involved in a road incident, is set to lead his charges as he also eyes his first trophy with the Sea Robbers.

The former Marumo Gallants head coach has been boosted by the return of attacking midfielder Patrick Maswanganyi, who has been training after recovering from an injury.

Maswanganyi got injured during the match against Chippa United, and this made him miss the Bafana Bafana World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Nigeria.

There is more positive news for Bucs given that the experienced duo of defender Nkosinathi Sibisi and midfielder Makhehleni Makhaula have also recovered.

Pirates Probable XI: Chaine, Shandu, Hotto, Sibisi, Mbokazi, Nduli, Mbatha, Mbule, Appollis, Sebelebele, Mabasa
