Orlando Pirates tactician Abdeslam Ouaddou reacts to speculations former Manchester United coach is targeting Relebohile Mofokeng - 'Sorry about that question'

Relebohile Mofokeng has been linked with several top clubs worldwide since last season, owing to his displays for Orlando Pirates.

The latest club that has reportedly submitted their offer is the Major League Soccer outfit Minnesota United.

The American team is managed by Eric Ramsay, who initially worked as an Academy tactician at Manchester United before later becoming a first-team coach at the club. 

Bucs coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has now responded to those speculations.

"I’m sorry about that question, you know. Today I am only focused on the game against Stellenbosch. I didn’t have to look at the media [reports]," he said in his post-match interview. 

"What I know is that Rele is with us, and today he did well. It means that he is with us, and I hope he will be with us," Ouaddou concluded.

A couple of weeks ago, Pirates lost another talented winger in Mohau Nkota, who made a surprise move to the Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ettifaq.

Losing Mofokeng when the club needs depth to effectively compete domestically and abroad.

Well, it is interesting to see how the management will have to deal with his case and ensure the versatile South Africa international delivers.

Mofokeng has not managed to deliver either an assist or a goal in the last five games for Bucs across all competitions, which is, by all means, below his standards.

The 20-year-old will be needed to step up on Saturday as Pirates play Mamelodi Sundowns in the second leg of the MTN8 semi-final. The initial meeting ended 1-1.
