    WHAT HAPPENED?

    Orlando Pirates youngster Relebohile Mofokeng has been a key player at the club for the last two years or so.

    The 20-year-old has also managed to get his space in the Bafana Bafana team, and is currently a starter with the Hugo Broos-led team.

    It explains why several teams abroad have been reportedly chasing the versatile attacker.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    One of the latest teams to be linked with Mofokeng is the Major League Soccer outfit Minnesota United.

    The Black and Blue are currently managed by Eric Ramsay, who initially worked as an Academy tactician at Manchester United before later becoming a first-team coach at the club. 

    Reports have it that The Loons, who have Bafana winger Bongokuhle Hlongwane on their books, have already initiated talks with Pirates, hoping to seal the services of Mofokeng.

    Reports have it MLS side Minnesota United have submitted a bid of $2 million (just over R35 million) for South Africa international Mofokeng, and that talks are ongoing.
