    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Touring Europe comes with high expectations in the new season and it is becoming a trend among Premier Soccer League teams like the Buccaneers, Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and TS Galaxy.

When they first toured Spain ahead of the 2023/24 season, Pirates went on to bow out of the Caf Champions League at the preliminary stage in which invited some mockery upon them after investing in such preparations.

But it paid off last season, where they reached the semi-finals of the Champions League, although they failed to win the PSL title.
