Orlando Pirates provide broadcasting update ahead of CAF Champions League showdown against Saint Eloi Lupopo as SABC confirm Mamelodi Sundowns coverage

The Premier Soccer League will be well represented this weekend across the two CAF inter-club competitions in Africa. The four teams are hoping to get a positive result in the first leg of the annual tournaments. An aggregate win for Mzansi representatives will see the trio get into the group stage and reap big financial rewards.

  • Who will Chiefs, Pirates, Sundowns & Stellenbosch face?

    Both the Soweto giants will be in the Democratic Republic of Congo this weekend.

    Kaizer Chiefs will play AS Simba in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup in Lubumbashi, while Orlando Pirates will be up against St Eloi Lupopo in the same city a day later, but in the CAF Champions League.

    Stellenbosch will be in Equatorial Guinea to play their hosts Agosto in Africa's second-tier competition.

    The defending Premier Soccer League champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, will be in Nigeria to face Remo Stars.

    Last season, Sundowns reached the CAF Champions League final before losing to Pyramids, who had beaten Pirates in the semi-final.

    Stellenbosch were eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup in the last four hurdle by Tanzania's Simba SC.

    The standard has been set already, and South Africans need another decent outing this season.
