    WHAT HAPPENED?

Shaune Mogaila faces charges of an alleged culpable homicide and reckless driving incident that claimed the life of a nine-year-old child.

After appearing in the Tembisa magistrate’s court, the winger was released on R20,000 bail.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

The court did not set any bail conditions which means the player could continue to play for Sekhukhune.

However, he has been out of action for four months.

On Wednesday, February 20, the attacker played the entire game as his team Babina Noko beat AmaZulu 4-2 in the league outing - and even provided an assist for the first goal.

Coach Lehlohonolo Seema has since justified the player's inclusion in his team.

    WHAT SEEMA SAID

“He is a player that has been registered to us and, of course, he had an unfortunate incident that happened and the team gave him support and time to deal with it,” the 44-year-old former Orlando Pirates defender said.

“And now he’s back, and we are happy with the first game after a long time and we are happy with the contribution that he did. And yeah, look, he is the player that we know.

“The only thing that we are doing is that we put that behind our back of course and then we try to give him support so that he can continue working for the team.

“Definitely the team has been supporting him you can see the way he’s playing. Yeah, it was very unfortunate, it can happen to any one of us but he needed support he needed time which he was given time.

“Now it’s time for him to go back and then try also to clear his mind with something that he is doing he’s liking and let’s see. I’m happy with the performance after a long time the way he came," Seema concluded.
