Baroka FC chairman Khurishi Mphahlele has confirmed they have reached an agreement with Orlando Pirates over the signing of Tshepo Mashiloane.
Mashiloane's contract with the Sea Robbers begins on July 1, as confirmed by Mphahlele, ending speculation on whether the defender was indeed heading to the Soweto giants.

“We still have to pay Mashiloane until the end of June, but Pirates have purchased Mashiloane for the coming season, not this season,” Mphahlele told iDiski Times.
“But if Pirates want Mashiloane earlier, there’s no problem; we’ve got an agreement with Pirates. We can always make provision for that, but we are going to pay Mashiloane at the end of June because his contract ends at the end of June, and the Pirates' contract begins on the first of July. From the first of July, he is a Pirates player; until then, he’s still our player, and we pay him.”

WHAT IS MORE
Further, Mphahlele expressed his displeasure with Sekhukhune United over the claim that Babina Noko had signed Sydney Malivha, Dan Ndlovu, and Thuso Mogale.
The chair said Malivha and Mogale are not leaving the club, but Ndlovu, who is linked with Sekhukhune United, is free to join a club of his choice.
“These two boys, Mogale and Malivha, their contracts have been extended for another two years, both of them,” Mphahlele added.
“Their contracts were ending in June [2025], but before June ends, we’ve exercised the option [to renew] for the boys around January. So, they’re still contracted to us. I’m very much surprised, and I’m very much disappointed because we are a professional team in as just as Sekhukhune is a professional team," Mphahlele continued.
“I don’t understand when a professional team signs a professional player without even consulting with the team that has a contract with the player. I don’t understand how they do their business or how they conduct their office, because they should have at least enquired about how far their contracts are. You don’t just go around signing other teams’ players; it’s really arrogant."

Mashiloane is among the new faces expected at Pirates when the 2025/26 season begins.
Already, the Buccaneers have released a number of players in anticipation of the new ones set to arrive.
Paseka Mako, who is already linked with Kaizer Chiefs, Thabiso Monyane, Miguel Timm, and Innocent Maela, have left the Sea Robbers.

Pirates fans will be keen to see the new signing finally linking up with their team.
The 23-year-old, who can play as a right back and a defensive midfielder as well, was a key player for Bakgaga as he played in 29 matches.
How fast he will adapt to the Pirates' environment will greatly determine whether he will establish himself as a regular starter.
