    WHAT HAPPENED?

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has commented on the demands of the club's fans as he seeks to assist Amakhosi in ending a 10-year trophy drought ahead of their Nedbank Cup Last-16 clash with Chippa United .

Nabi has been attempting to become the first coach to deliver silverware to the Soweto giants since Stuart Baxter guided them to the 2014/15 Premier Soccer League title.

    WHAT NABI SAID

“The fans don’t want to hear ‘project or process’, the want results, they have been hearing about rebuilding, projects, but from myself – we don’t need to react with emotions,” said Nabi as per iDiski Times.

“Without a project you do not guarantee the success, which doesn’t mean we don’t play to get results, every game, we need to do everything to win, even when you’re building.

“We believe the players are starting to get confidence, in themselves, in the message conveyed by the technical staff and being confident in dealing with pressure that comes with being at a big club.”

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

All coaches who have been at Chiefs since 2015 have been tasked with rebuilding the Soweto giants.

But they get sacked while in the middle of that exercise prompting the next coach to start all over again with a bloated squad rarely suited to the new coach's needs, something that Nabi is wrestling with himself.

However, Amakhosi fans have been impatient and demanding the trophies that continue to elude the club.
