'Rasmus Hojlund is not a finisher' - Gary Neville compares Man Utd's £72m man to Darwin Nunez in brutal assessment after he misses an absolute sitter in goalless draw against Liverpool

United and Liverpool played out a laboured goalless draw, but the Red Devils could have left Anfield with all three points had Hojlund converted a clear second-half opportunity. In the 68th minute, the £72 million striker was played in on goal by Scott McTominay, but he could only fire his effort straight at Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

While commentating for Sky Sports, Neville said immediately after Hojlund's chance: "That's where that composure, that little bit of class [is lacking]. Polishing that diamond that he is Hojlund. He's got real physical strength and capacity, but he's not a finisher, he's similar to [Darwin] Nunez in that respect."

Hojlund's attempt was one of few clear chances during a match that lacked quality, and it summed up his time at United so far. Though the 20-year-old scored five goals in six Champions League appearances this season, he has failed to hit the back of the net in 13 Premier League games since joining the club in the summer.

Ultimately, United would have taken a point at Anfield had it been offered to them before kick-off. Hojlund will be disappointed not to break his league duck, though, so will look to do so in their next outing against West Ham on Saturday.
