Is Stanley Nwabali being sold to Kaizer Chiefs? Ex-Real Madrid midfielder insists Chippa United goalkeeper 'has what it takes to be one of the best goalkeepers in the history of Nigeria'

Stanley Nwabali has established himself as an undisputed number one goalkeeper for Chippa United and the Nigeria national team.

That has seen him being linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs as well as clubs in Europe and the Middle East.

Former Nigeria midfielder Mutiu Adepoju believes the lanky custodian can turn himself into the greatest ever to guard goal for the Super Eagles..

“Stanley Nwabali has been doing very well all this while, and he has what it takes to be one of the best goalkeepers in the history of the national team,” said former Real Madrid fringe midfielder Adepoju as per iDiski Times.

“If he continues this level of performance, he will end up as one of the best goalkeepers that Nigeria has ever had.”

Chiefs continue facing problems in goal with Bruce Bvuma, Fiacre Ntwari and Brandon Petersen not regarded as reliable goalkeepers.

Ntwari reportedly wants out of the Soweto giants and a Ligue 2 club is keen to sign him.

If he leaves Amakhosi, that creates some space for Chiefs to sign Nwabali.

It remains to be seen if Nwabali will make a move at tyhe end of the current season.

The goalkeeper has already admitted that he wants to "play for Kaizer Chiefs with all my heart."
