    Chiefs begin life without Nabi

Kaizer Chiefs are in Angola to face Kabuscorp in a CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round, first leg match at 11 November Stadium on Saturday.

The Soweto giants arrived in Luanda without coach Nasreddine Nabi, which marked a difficult week for the team.

Defender Inacio Miguel has inside information about Kabuscorp after facing Amakhosi's opponents during his time with Petro Atletico.

    Miguel's knowledge of Kabuscorp

“I played in Angola for two seasons and have played many times against Kabuscorp," said Miguel as per Sowetan Live

"I remember that my last goal for Petro was against Kabuscorp, so I am aware of how they play and I've already told my teammates and coaches what to expect. We can expect a difficult game.
“Kabuscorp are a very physical team, they play vertically. Their style of play is similar to some of PSL teams... they play long balls, they are dangerous with second balls and they have individual players who can decide a game.
“It's a very emotional game for me because the stadium we're going to play at was my home in recent seasons with Petro, so I am very motivated and happy to go back home. I want to make sure I win this game for my new home that's SA now," added the Angola international.
“This fixture is two-legged, so it's very important for us to keep a clean sheet in Angola. Of course, we have shown that we can keep clean sheets.”

Chiefs eager to bury a busy week

Going into Saturday's match, Chiefs endured an eventful week, which was highlighted by the sudden news of coach Nabi, who is reportedly on his way out of the club.

Tasting their first Premier Soccer League defeat of the season when they lost to Sekhukhune United on Tuesday was another difficult patch for the Soweto giants.

They would be hoping that all that will not negatively affect the team in Luanda, a big test for the players' character.

    What next?

Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze are likely to be in charge of the Soweto giants on Saturday, given they have the correct coaching qualifications to sit on the bench.

The two orchestrated victories in Amakhosi's first three league games of the season while Nabi was away in Tunisia, attending a family emergency.
