    WHAT HAPPENED?

Wydad Casablanca played to a goalless draw with Olympic Safi in the latest Botola Pro League game played on Wednesday night.

It was not a result that was anticipated by the fans who jeered Rhulani Mokwena's team after the final whistle.

The pressure is too much on the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach, who is coaching outside Mzansi for the first time.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Wednesday draw means Wydad haven't won any of their last six Botola Pro League games.

There have been reports that Mokwena will leave once the ongoing campaign concludes in the next couple of weeks.

Speculations are rife that he may even join Orlando Pirates, who will be without a coach after Jose Riveiro confirmed he will leave once his contract expires.

In his post-match interview, Mokwena hinted he is almost out, but promised not to coach any other team in Morocco.

    WHAT MOKWENA SAID

“It’s up to the president, I already said at the end of the season I will leave, so that’s the situation,” he told the media.

“I love Wydad, I will only coach Wydad in Morocco, if I leave, I leave as a Wydad. When you say ‘Dima Wydad’, you say ‘Dima Wydad’ forever, and just to thank the president, he’s been amazing.

“I think Wydad has the best president in Morocco, maybe in Africa. The players have given me everything of the best, the staff has been good.

“Wydad is a big club, you know they deserve to win, and maybe they deserve a better coach than me," Mokwena concluded.

    WHAT NEXT?

Mokwena and Wydad are now hoping to push for the Caf Champions League position in the remaining three games.

They are trailing second-placed FAR Rabat by six points, meaning they can't afford to drop any more points.

A shaky ending might even see them missing out on the top four as FUS Rabat and Renaissance Zemamra are pushing for the Caf Confederation Cup position, third, as well.
