'Harry Kane can win titles!'- Bayern Munich chief lauds 'incredible' striker after trophy curse is finally lifted with Bundesliga crown

Three Lions captain Kane has seen his trophy curse lifted in 2024-25, with Bayern being confirmed as Bundesliga champions. Bayer Leverkusen’s draw at Freiburg means that Bayern will get their hands on a prestigious prize when playing host to Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.

Prolific frontman Kane will be front and centre of those celebrations, with the 31-year-old finally securing the collective honours that his individual efforts have deserved. He is understandably delighted to have brought a long-running debate to a close.

Bayern are thrilled to be the ones that have allowed Kane to get across a trophy-winning line, with their No.9 becoming a talismanic presence at the Allianz Arena. They signed Kane in 2023 with the intention of breaking his career-long trophy duck.

Bayern CEO, Jan-Christian Dreesen, has told Sky Deutschland: “Yesterday we narrowly missed the match point, today we're German champions – heartfelt congratulations to our team and the coaching staff led by Vincent Kompany, who delivered a masterpiece in his first season.

“We all heartily congratulate Harry Kane, who has already scored an incredible 80 goals for us and has shown everyone: Kane can win titles! Dear Bayern family, we're champions again – and the trophy will be back home next Saturday.”

Kane has hit 36 goals for Bayern this season, with 24 of those being recorded in Bundesliga competition. Said return has him on course to claim a second Golden Boot in Germany, while his contract is due to run until the summer of 2027.
