    WHAT HAPPENED?

AmaZulu started the 2024/25 season badly, suffering the first three Premier Soccer League games as well as elimination from the MTN8.

Spaniard Franco Martin was fired, and former Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane and Vusumuzi Vilakazi were appointed as co-coaches.

Since their appointment, Usuthu have been on ascendancy; they are currently 13th on the table with nine points from eight games.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The short transfer window opens on Wednesday, January 1 and AmaZulu have already identified their targets and confirmed two.

It is obvious, Zwane and Vilakazi want to finish their business early to ensure there is enough time for the team to gel and deliver.

  • SANDILE MTHETHWA

Mthethwa was let go by Orlando Pirates a couple of days ago after struggling for game time.

The 27-year-old has now joined Usuthu to strengthen their defensive unit.
