Former Fifa World Cup star hails Orlando Pirates for signing Kamogelo Sebelebele - 'He adds on quality of Oswin Appollis and Rele Mofokeng'

Former Kaizer Chiefs star Reneilwe Letsholonyane has explained why Kamogelo Sebelebele is a good signing for Orlando Pirates.

Letsholonyane believes the former TS Galaxy forward has abilities that will add quality to what Relebohile Mofokeng and Oswin Appollis already can offer.

“I was fortunate enough to have worked with Kamogelo in COSAFA and CHAN. He’s a good player with the right attitude,” Letsholonyane said on Omni Audio Africa.

“I’m not surprised to see Orlando Pirates signing him because he deserves that. So he adds on the quality of Oswin Appollis and Rele [Mofokeng].

“He gives you the same possibilities, but he can even play as a striker. If you are a coach who wants to play with a false 9, then Kamogelo gives you that," the retired midfield maestro, who was part of Bafana Bafana's 2010 Fifa World Cup squad, added.

“And another thing is that he wants to win every game he plays; tired or not tired, he’ll leave everything on the field until the last whistle, so that’s one positive signing for Pirates, and I’m happy for Kamogelo; he deserves this move.”

Sebelebele is the latest acquisition announced by Pirates, who have been on a signing spree.

Their earlier signings, who have been described as better than Kaizer Chiefs', include Appollis, Sipho Mbule, Sihle Nduli, Yanela Mbuthuma, Tshepang Moremi, Nkosikhona Ndaba, Masindi Nemtajela, Sinoxolo Kwayiba, and Tshepho Mashiloane.

Sebelebele, who made his Bafana debut during the COSAFA Cup when South Africa finished as runners-up, has been training with Pirates' players who did not travel to Spain for the preseason.

The forward, who made his name at Galaxy, will have an even bigger platform at Bucs to show the world what he is actually capable of.

However, he must be ready for the stiff competition at the Sea Robbers and also the pressure that will come if he does not perform to the expected standards.
