    WHAT HAPPENED?

Magesi reached the final of the Carling Knockout where they will meet Mamelodi Sundowns on November 23 at Toyota Stadium.

Along the way, they have pulled some upsets which they have extended to the Premier Soccer League.

That has left coach Clinton Larsen boldly warning Sundowns.

    WHAT LARSEN SAID

"You remind me of the Betway Premiership launch when Thomas [Mlambo] asked and said every team that looks at Magesi looks at free three points," said Larsen as per KickOff.

"But we are slowly changing people’s minds that we are not that easy to beat.

"Maybe they are comparing us to what happened to Cape Town Spurs the other season, maybe that's the reason why people thought that way," added the experienced coach.

"But like I said, my job is to try and get this team as organised as possible and to make them as difficult to beat as possible, and I think we are on the right track."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

After eliminating Orlando Pirates from the Carling Knockout at the Last-16 stage, that was Magesi's first statement of being a giant slayer.

They then frustrated Kaizer Chiefs in a Premier Soccer League with a 2-2 draw after forcing Amakhosi to come back from behind for a point.

Magesi have now gone for seven straight games in all competitions without tasting defeat.

    WHAT NEXT FOR MAGESI?

Magesi were last involved in competitive action on November 9 and will be hoping they will not be rusty by the time they face Sundowns.

They come up against opponents who were taking part in the Home of Legends Cup where they played against Chippa United and Kaizer Chiefs.
