South Africa were crowned Africa Under-20 Cup of Nations after edging Morocco 1-0 at Cairo International Stadium on Sunday.
It was the first time form Amajita to win the continental competition and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Gomolemo Kekana struck with 20 minutes to go to help Raymond Mdaka's side claim victory.
Morocco, whose squad was dominated by European-based players including Jones El-Abdellaoui of Celta Vigo, Montpellier's Othmane Maamma, Lens midfielder Ismaël Aouad, Ismaël Baouf defender and Monaco goalkeeper Yanis Benchaouch, were the favourites to win the final, but they were stunned by South Africa.
