    Petersen saved Chiefs

Prior to the game against Siwelele FC, Kaizer Chiefs had gone four Premier Soccer League games without a win.

They were expected to deliver three points at the FNB Stadium versus their struggling visitors.

However, it turned out that Brandon Petersen saved the Glamour Boys from what could have been a defeat with his brilliant saves that ensured spoils were shared.

    Why Chiefs are under pressure

The Glamour Boys made some impressive signings in the recent transfer window, bringing on board some quality players.

Amakhosi even started the season with four straight wins that gave the supporters hope that this campaign might be different.

Nevertheless, they are seemingly not getting it right, especially in front of the goal, and in coordination on the pitch.

Co-coach Cedric Kaze struggled to justify the draw against Siwelele, coming up with the usual line of players failing to take their chances.

Kaze adamant a goal mattered and not style of play

“These kinds of games, we had the opportunities to score, but we do not have to play good every day, but to just put the ball in the net and then wait for the next game,” he told the media.
“Unfortunately, we do not seem to be clinical, lucky in front of the net, but we have to keep working, and I am pretty sure that it will come.
“Football has its miseries, Siwelele are not very well on the log, but you can see it is a team that has been losing 1-0, and it is a team that defends well and is difficult to score against.
“But we are home, we are Kaizer Chiefs, and we had the opportunities and possession to score. We were controlling the game, and we have to do better definitely," Kaze concluded.

Another massive CAF test coming for Amakhosi

On Saturday, Chiefs host AS Simba in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup's second preliminary round at the Dobsnville Stadium.

The initial meeting ended goalless, meaning all Chiefs need to do is get a win of any kind to advance to the group stage of the annual competition.

Kaze and his fellow co-coach Ben Youssef know they have to get it right since anything less than a win might welcome changes in the technical team.
