Carling Knockout Quarter-Final Draw: Orlando Pirates discover their opponents with Stellenbosch FC set to face Marumo Gallants after eliminating Kaizer Chiefs

It is now down to eight teams in the Beer Cup after heavyweights like Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns found themselves among the eight sides eliminated. Now, interesting quarter-final matchups have been confirmed as the defending champions are still in vying to reclaim this trophy.

    The last eight teams in the CKO

    The 2025 Carling knockout Round of 16 concluded on Sunday, after kicking off on Friday, October 3. 

    Eight teams confirmed their places in the quarterfinals and they are Orlando Pirates, Magesi FC, Golden Arrows, Richards Bay, Stellenbosch, Durban City, TS Galaxy and Marumo Gallants, who knocked out Mamelodi Sundowns.

  • Who meets who?

    Defending champions Magesi will face Pirates in the last eight, while Richards Bay and Durban City clash in a KwaZulu-Natal Derby. 

    Golden Arrows and TS Galaxy will lock horns as 2023 champions Stellenbosch were handed Marumo Gallants.

    Rematch between Bucs and Magesi

    Magesi kicked Pirates out of the Carling Knockout last season, meeting in the Round of 16 stage as Dikwena tsa Meetse went all the way to the final and won this trophy in their first season playing top-flight league football.

    This time around, they clash in the last eight and Pirates will be out for revenge, as well as pressing for their second trophy of the season after winning the MTN8.

    Magesi have already started this season's edition dramatically when they beat AmaZulu and they could resume their giant-killing acts.
