Cape Town City appoint ex-Orlando Pirates mentor Muhsin Ertugral as new head coach ahead of Kaizer Chiefs clash replacing Eric Tinkler

Premier Soccer League outfit Cape Town City recently confirmed the exit of Eric Tinkler as their coach.

The 54-year-old's start to the ongoing campaign has not been good; the Citizens have lost three out of their recent four games played, which puts them 12th on the table, just three points above the relegation zone.

City have now confirmed Muhsin Ertugral as their new man in charge.

Muhsin will step in as head coach until the end of the current season, joining first team coaches Diogo Peral and Lebogang Manyama.

Having coached Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and other teams in Mzansi, City fans believe Ertugral can help push their team to the top.

Most recently, Ertugral served as the Technical Advisor for the Turkish national team for four years.

Despite being out of Mzansi football for six years, the 65-year-old has what it takes to help City shape for the future.

Interestingly, the first assignment for Ertugral as an interim coach will be on Sunday against former team Chiefs at the DHL Cape Town Stadium.

It will be important to get a win against the inconsistent Glamour Boys.
