    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Brentford remain reluctant to lose Toney, and have subsequently placed a large valuation on the striker's head. He scored 20 league goals last season, only behind Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.

Arsenal will need to sell players by the end of June to comply with FFP regulations if they do splash out on Toney. The likes of Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah, and Reiss Nelson could all be placed on the market to raise funds.
