A tougher challenge before the group stage

Pirates are now waiting for the winner between DR Congo heavyweights Saint-Eloi Lupopo and Sudanese giants Al Merrikh in the second preliminary round.

Both teams are well known in African football, especially Al Merrikh, who are seasoned campaigners on the continent.
