Tshepang Moremi and Yanela Mbuthuma grab brace each as Orlando Pirates breeze past Lioli FC to reach CAF Champions League second preliminary round

Orlando Pirates were too much for Lioli FC after registering a 4-0 victory at home,

Starting the afternoon enjoying a commanding 3-0 lead from the first leg, Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou had the comfort of Mbekezeli Mbikazi and Deon Hotto, who had made the Buccaneers line-up in all games this season before Saturday's assignment. 

Pirates struggled in the early stages of the game, but Tshepang Moremi broke the deadlock with a well-struck free kick just on the cusp of halftime.

Moremi was back again to double the Soweto giants' advantage two minutes into the second half after profiting from Lioli goalkeeper William Huni flubbing his shot into the net.  

Substitute Yanela Mbuthuma then connected Thabito Lebitso's cross from the right to extend Purates' lead on 78 minutes before he sealed a brace of his own a minute later on an afternoon he was on the scoresheet for the first time for the Soweto giants.

Moremi stole the show with a brace to take his season tally to five goals ans two assists in six games across all competitions. 

Just two weeks after he scored a double to influence the MTN8 final against Stellenbosch, Moremi was once again vital for the Buccaneers, but this time on the continent.  

After losing 7-0 on aggregate, Lioli were exposed to show that this is a level of competition they are not ready for as they were a no match for Ouaddou's men.

The margin they lost with gave a picture of a no-contest as Pirates enjoyed total dominance.  

Pirates now turn their attention to the Premier Soccer League and they host TS Galaxy on Tuesday as they push to close the gap between them and log leaders Sekhukhune United.    

Lioli, on the other hand, will now fully concentrate on domestic assignments in Lesotho.
