Liga II Overview

The former Barcelona player shone as a manager

Manchester United co-owner Avram Glazer has sparked a fresh wave of controversy by suggesting that the club does not need to achieve success on the pitch to remain a commercial powerhouse. His comments come at a delicate time for the Red Devils, who are currently struggling near the bottom of the Premier League table.

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has warned his team-mates that their current defensive form is "not sustainable" following a disappointing 3-2 defeat to Fenerbahce. The Reds surrendered a late lead in Istanbul, conceding three times from set-pieces to mark a historically poor run in European competition.

Liam Rosenior has finally addressed the intense scrutiny and online mockery that defined his short-lived tenure at Chelsea, insisting that he is far from the 'joke' he was portrayed as. The 42-year-old manager, who spent just 107 days in the hot seat at Stamford Bridge, believes his departure was fueled by external narratives rather than his tactical capabilities on the pitch.
