Ushuru upbeat ahead of a crunch promotion playoff against Nakumatt

Ushuru FC head coach Ken Kenyatta is confident of overturning a 1-0 defeat he suffered against Nakumatt in the first leg of the Kenyan Premier League playoff.

The two teams are facing each other in the promotion/relegation play-off, where an aggregate winner will play in the 2018/19 KPL season, with the loser taking part in the National Super League.

Speaking ahead of the match, Kenyatta says the feeling of taking part in the top tier is a motivation enough for his charges to push themselves in teh second leg.

"There must be injuries in the team, but they are minor ones. We are ready to face Nakumatt, on Sunday with the aim of making it to the top.

"So far, everyone is available for the game, unless something happens on Thursday or Friday. We will try to play our game, create those early chances and take them, that is what can help us get the result we need."

Western Stima and KCB are already promoted to the KPL, with Wazito and Thika United going down.
