“I’ve worked hard the past few years and feel I deserve a move this big. Joining a big team like Pirates is every player’s dream – I’m no different. I’m happy the day has finally come," Nyatama told Daily Sun.

The 29-year-old player, who was once on the books of Mamelodi Sundowns, says he has matured and now understands the pressure that comes with playing for a big team.

“I was still young back then and didn’t know the pressure that comes with wearing the jersey of a big club. I know Sundowns and Pirates are different and I can’t compare the two. But the pressure of playing for them is similar," he added.

“Fortunately I have learned from my experience at Sundowns. I’m a grown man now and I’m ready for the pressure that will come with wearing a Pirates jersey,” Nyatama concluded.
