Latest Champions League Winner Odds: Barcelona clear favourites despite semi-final clash with Liverpool

Tottenham's blockbuster win over Manchester City headlined a goal-laden round of midweek Champions League action.

Pep Guardiola's men had been tournament favourites throughout the competition but were knocked out on away goals in a thrilling encounter at the Etihad Stadium.

Barcelona now head bet365's latest Champions League winner odds at 6/4 (2.50). Manchester United couldn’t repeat their previous heroics at the Camp Nou, losing 4-0 across the two legs.

With another La Liga title all but secured, the Catalans can now turn their attention to adding a European crown to this season's trophy haul.

Despite facing Ernesto Valverde's men in the semi-finals, Liverpool come next in the market at 5/2 (3.50) after easing past Porto 6-1 on aggregate.

Liverpool reached the final last season and will have home advantage in the second leg. However, at least part of the reason for them being sizeable outsiders against the Catalan side is the Reds' ongoing domestic battle with Manchester City.

The fact that the top two in the outright betting will meet before the final is somewhat unusual, but the bookmakers clearly feel that the winner of this clash will have a significant advantage over whichever team qualifies from the other tie.

Tottenham and Ajax are both available at 9/2 (5.50) in the outright market at bet365 with the odds compilers struggling to pick a favourite with any degree of certainty, as is the case across the industry at the time of writing.

Champions League semi-final early odds preview

Most firms make the Dutch side a slightly shorter price to progress to the showpiece finale in Madrid, but there is very little to choose between the sides at this stage.

The first meeting will be at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with Mauricio Pochettino likely to be short of options up front after Heung-Min Son picked up a one-game suspension and Harry Kane still sidelined through injury.

After Manchester City crashed out it’s now 11/10 (2.10) from 4/6 (1.67) with bet365 that an English side wins the competition.
