Ghana target Yeboah signs first professional deal with Wolfsburg

Germany youth international of Ghanaian descent John Yeboah Zamora has signed his first professional deal with Bundesliga outfit VfL Wolfsburg.

The attacker has penned a contract which effectively keeps him at Volkswagen Arena for the next four years, having impressed for the Die Wolfe's academy side.

He is yet to make a senior appearance.

"John Yeboah Zamora has signed his first professional contract with VfL Wolfsburg," the club announced via their official website. 

"Under-19 midfielder John Yeboah Zamora has been bound to VfL Wolfsburg for the long-term. 

"The German youth international has signed a professional contract with the Wolves until June 30th, 2021. 

"The 17-year-old joined VfL in 2015, having previously played for SV Rönneburg and FC Turkiye Wilhelmsburg in Hamburg."

"This season, Yeboah has made 16 appearances for Wolfsburg's youth side, scoring seven goals and making five assists.

Born to Ghanaian parents in Hamburg, Germany, the attacker currently plays for the country of his birth at youth level.

Playing alongside another Ghanaian descent Noah Awuku at last year's Fifa Under-17 World Cup in India, the winger made four appearances and netted once as the Europeans reached the quarter-finals.

In all, Yeboah has won 14 caps with the national team, scoring two goals.

"I am delighted about having been given the opportunity to take the next step in my career with VfL Wolfsburg," said the midfielder.

"I will do everything in my power to continue developing."

Yeboah remains eligible to represent Ghana at senior level as he is yet to make a senior appearance for Germany.
