Clifton Miheso loses case against Golden Arrows over wrongful contract termination

Fifa has thrown away a case filed by Clifton Miheso after the Kenyan midfielder sued Golden Arrows over a wrongful contract termination.

Miheso’s stay with the South African club ended in unclear situation after he alleged that he was forced to terminate his two-year deal at gunpoint, just six months after he joined Arrows in 2014.

Miheso, who is currently with Zambian side Buildcon, would later file a case with Fifa’s Disputes Resolution Chamber (DRC) for wrongful termination.

But DRC threw away the case for lack of evidence. “The player failed to present documentary evidence in his support of his allegation that he had been coerced by the club into signing a non-specified document as well as the termination agreement.

"The player only submitted a description of the alleged events,” reads part of Fifa’s ruling.

The chamber further established that Golden Arrows had agreed with Miheso’s agent to compensate the Harambee Stars midfielder to a tune of Sh1.5 million in damages.
