  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The Catalan giants overcame an early setback to register a thumping 5-2 win over rivals Real Madrid in the final of Supercopa de Espana in Jeddah on Sunday. Mallorca defender Pablo Maffeo, who got into an altercation with Vinicius Junior in their semi-final clash against Los Blancos, was spotted celebrating Barcelona's win during a training session.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    During Mallorca's clash against Madrid last week, Maffeo managed to get under the skin of the Brazilian winger. Movistar cameras spotted the Real Madrid star telling the Mallorca player on the field: "You're terrible; you're going home." The Spanish champions eventually won the tie 3-0 courtesy of second-half goals from Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo and an own goal scored by Martin Valjent.
