Turkish Super Lig outfit Fenerbahce are reported to be nearing the acquisition of Cameroon captain Benjamin Moukandjo from relegated Ligue 1 side Lorient.
Upon his return from a month-long absence from the Nations Cup in January, Moukandjo tried in vain to save Les Merlus from relegation by scoring 13 goals in 27 appearances. It wasn't quite enough and the club ended up in the play-off' spot where they lost to Troyes.
His impressive appearances did not go unnoticed however as Aksam in Turkey has reported that the representative of fellow Cameroonian, Pierre Webo of Osmanlispor, has revealed that Sari Kanaryalar are closing in on Moukandjo.
The Super Lig outfit are not the only ones after the Africa Cup of Nations-winning attacker as English duo Crystal Palace and West Ham United are also reported to be eyeing the 28-year-old.
Moukandjo joined Lorient from Ligue 1 rivals Reims in 2015 as a replacement for Ghanaian international Jordan Ayew who was sold to then Premier League outfit Aston Villa.
Lorient apparently want a € 6 million transfer fee for Moukandjo who still has a year left on his contract.

Moukandjo is expected to lead the Indomitable Lions in their Fifa Confederations Cup campaign starting on the 17th in Russia.
