Hertha BSC junior international Kennet Eichhorn will join Bayer Leverkusen, Sky reports.

Liverpool have failed in their intensive efforts to sign Hertha BSC teenager Kennet Eichhorn. The highly-rated gem has officially rejected a lucrative switch to Anfield, prioritising his footballing development. The youngster wants to stay in Germany, sparking a fierce battle between Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig to secure his signature before the transfer window closes.

A decision is imminent in the race to sign Kennet Eichhorn from Hertha BSC, with two Bundesliga clubs locked in a close contest.

Because the overall financial package for Hertha's young talent Kennet Eichhorn was too big for the club, Bayern Munich's supervisory board reportedly stepped in and blocked the move, leaving the sport directorial team disappointed.
