Hansi Flick has sent a definitive message to the Barcelona board regarding his squad depth despite the club nearing a massive transfer breakthrough to sign Man City ace Rodri. The German tactician remains adamant that further reinforcements are required to return the Blaugrana to the pinnacle of European football.
Barcelona have reached a massive agreement to sign star midfielder Rodri from Manchester City on a four-year contract. The Spanish giants will pay a significant fee to secure the recent Ballon d'Or winner, ending his highly successful seven-year spell in England. Meanwhile, Enzo Maresca is already planning to replace him by targeting Chelsea standout Enzo Fernandez.
Enzo Maresca has narrowed down his Manchester City leadership group, but Rodri's omission amid Barcelona links has sent shockwaves through the Etihad Stadium. The Italian head coach confirmed that only two senior stars are currently guaranteed a place in his inner circle as the club prepares for a new era without several long-serving figures.
