And Deulofeu has impressed for Watford this season, managing seven goals and five assists in 23 Premier League games, but the Hornets have slapped a&nbsp;€30m (£26m/$34m)&nbsp;price tag on the forward.

Spurs face a fight to convince the player that his career would be best served by joining them, and will also reportedly have to contend with Valencia, Borussia Dortmund and Roma for his signature even if he does choose to leave.

However, Inter are hoping to compete for the central midfielder's signature, but negotiations will have to wait until the summer for them, as their transfer budget will largely depend on whether or not they secure Champions League football next season.
