Rangers reject 'derisory' Morelos bid


Rangers have turned down an approach from Bordeaux for striker Alfredo Morelos, according to the Daily Record.

The Ibrox side have branded the offer derisory, with the bid thought to have been around £3.75 million ($4.8).

Steve Gerrard's side will not sell for less than the £7.5m they rejected for the player in January.

Juventus will not make Rabiot move

Juventus will not move for Adrien Rabiot this summer, according to Tuttosport

The Italians had been linked with a transfer for the 23-year-old PSG midfielder, but they are prepared to play a waiting game.

Rabiot's deal is up at the end of the season but Barcelona and Liverpool are both floating, too.

Joao Mario wanted by La Liga sides


Betis and Sevilla are both interested in Inter midfielder Joao Mario, according to Calcio Mercato

The Serie A side ideally want to sell but both the Spanish outfits are only interested in a loan.

Mario, meanwhile, has already rejected Wolves, Besiktas and Fenerbahce this summer.


PSG still considering Wendell


Wendell remains a transfer option for PSG, according to France Football, but the club have yet to make up their mind on the Bayer Leverkusen player.

The Parisians want extra cover at left-back, where they have only Layvin Kurzawa, and a deal could be done at around €30 million.

Paris United reports a meeting between the clubs is slated for Thursday.

Everton feared missing out on Mina


Everton director of football Marcel Brands has revealed that he feared missing out on signing Yerry Mina after the defender scored for Colombia against England at the World Cup.

The former Barcelona man was a star of the competition and his scoring exploits shunted him further into the spotlight, leading to interest from Manchester United and Lyon.

As such, the Toffees were fearful they might miss out on the defender, but they got their man in the end.

Lyon could break their club transfer record to sign Ruben Dias from Benfica, according to France Football.

The young centre-back is valued between €30 million (£27m/€34m) to €40m by his club, but OL are studying other options.

It may be the final days of the transfer window that the deal is concluded as Benfica are in the Champions League playoffs, and OL are fearful the Portuguese side could pull the plug at the last.

Rangers striker Morelos eyed by Ligue 1 side


Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is being watched by Bordeaux, according to France Football.

The forward has had a prolific start to the season under Steven Gerrard and is under contract until 2021.

No Dortmund exit for Weigl


Julian Weigl will not be allowed to leave Dortmund this summer, according to Bild.

He had been linked with a €50 million move to Paris Saint-Germain, but the prospect of that has been ended by coach Lucien Favre, who does not want him to go.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic could still make a summer move to Real Madrid from Lazio, Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

The Serbia star, however, will only join the Bernabeu side if Luka Modric departs, with a move to Inter still mooted.

It would represent a double blow for AC Milan, who are eager to sign 'SMS' and do not wish to see their local rivals strengthened. 

Gervinho nears Serie A switch


Former Arsenal winger Gervinho is ready to move to Parma, Sky Italia reports.

After a stint in China with Hebei Fortune, the Ivory Coast international is set to return to Italy, where he previously turned out for Roma.

He has 18 assists and 17 goals to his credit in Serie A.

Real Madrid ready to up Rodrigo ante?


Blancos to bid €70m

Real Madrid are ready to bid €70 million (£62m/$79m) to sign Rodrigo from Valencia, Don Balon reports.

Los Blancos have already been knocked back in their attempts to move for the striker, who they see as ideal to provide Karim Benzema competition.

However, Valencia will hold out for €90m. 

No more Barca signings?


Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu says he is satisfied with the club's squad, suggesting no late business will be done before the close of the transfer window.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba continues to be linked with the Camp Nou side.

Bartomeu did not completely discount the possibility of a deal, though, saying Barca are "keeping their eye" on the market.

Napoli No.1 Alex Meret broke his arm last month and now the club are seeking to rush through a deal for the Colombia international.

RB Leipzig's attempts to sign Sebastian Rudy from Bayern Munich could be thwarted by Schalke, according to Sport Bild.

Schalke had targeted a loan for the midfielder even before the end of last season.

Kehrer to PSG not complete, say Schalke


Thilo Kehrer's anticipated move to Paris Saint-Germain remains subject to the agreement of personal terms, according to Schalke sporting director Christian Heidel.

The German side have already agreed a fee of €37 million (£33m/$42m) for the player, however.

Barcelona have monitored his progress for several months but are set to be beaten to his signature.

Torino fail in €10m bid to sign Grujic


Torino have failed in a bid to take Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic on a season-long loan deal, Goal understands.

The Serie A club made an approach for the Serbia international last week, offering a deal which included an option to make the move permanent next summer for a fee of €10million (£9m/$11.4m).

Their bid for the 22-year-old was rebuffed, however.

Jose Mourinho may have been angered by Manchester United's failure to sign Jerome Boateng from Bayern Munich, but the Premier League side may be better off without him.

AC Milan are close to signing Diego Laxalt from Genoa for €18 million, Sky Sport Italia reports.

The Uruguayan left-back will have a medical at San Siro on Thursday and sign a four-year contract after the two sides reached an agreement.

The 25-year-old spent three seasons at Inter but did not make an appearance for the first-team as he was loaned to Bologna, Empoli and Genoa before joining the latter on a permanent deal.

Marseille eye Zaza as Balotelli alternative


Marseille are set to end their interest in Mario Balotelli and attempt to sign Simone Zaza instead, says L'Equipe.

The French side hoped to bring Balotelli in from Nice but are yet to reach an agreement with the forward.

As they enter the final weeks of the transfer window, Marseille are looking at other options and are eyeing his compatriot, who scored 13 goals in La Liga last term.

Sarri ready to loan out Drinkwater


Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has decided he will let Danny Drinkwater leave the club on loan, reports the Express.

The midfielder has seen his prospects for minutes diminished by the arrivals of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic. 

Drinkwater will be unable to move within the Premier League with the transfer window shut, so Chelsea will loan out the 28-year-old to a foreign club should they receive a fee up front. 

Barca told to pay €50m for Rabiot


The Blaugrana are looking for one final piece to their midfield puzzle

Paris Saint-Germain have told Barcelona they must pay €50 million (£45m/$57m) to land Adrien Rabiot, claims Don Balon.

Barca manager Ernesto Valverde wants to add one more midfielder to his squad, and the 23-year-old has emerged as a top candidate.

The 22-year-old helped Cardiff achieve promotion in a loan spell last term, but has rejected the chance to join the now-Premier League side this season. 

Liverpool still rate Grujic highly, and want the Serbian to sign a contract extension before he is loaned out again. 

Luiz set for Girona loan after permit denied


Manchester City midfielder Douglas Luiz is nearing a loan to Girona after his work permit application was denied, according to The Times.

Pep Guardiola wanted the 20-year-old to remain with City's first team in 2018-19, but the manager will reluctantly send Luiz back to Spain

The Brazilian spent last season with Girona on loan, and is now set for a second straight campaign with the La Liga side.
