Mumbai City have bolstered their squad with the capture of an experienced midfielder...

Indian Super League side Mumbai City FC has confirmed the signing of Cameroonian international Achille Emaná. The club took to Twitter to announce the signing of the player.

Emaná joins a long list of new faces in the squad for last year's semi-finalists. The Mumbai-based franchise has already added the likes of Lucian Goian, Gerson Vieira, Marcio Rosario, Leo Costa, Everton Santos and Rafa Jorda to their ranks ahead of this season's ISL.

The 35-year-old attacking midfielder makes the switch to India after a spell with Spanish side Club Gimnàstic de Tarragona commonly referred to as Gimnàstic.

The Cameroonian though is widely remembered for his stints with French side Toulouse and Spanish side Real Betis.

In his second season with Toulouse back in 2002, he helped in the side gain promotion to the French Ligue 1 from Ligue 2.

In 2005 he led the side to a best ever 3rd place finish in the league which meant that Toulouse for the first time in their history achieved UEFA Champions League qualification honours.

After being linked with various Premier League clubs, Emaná finally switched to the Segunda Division in Spain with Real Betis in 2008. There, he helped the side to secure top flight football in 2011 after a two-year absence from the La Liga.
