"It's a good move for the boy because he's in a phase where he's developing his game, so it's important for him to grow his game, and Siwelele is where that can happen," Katsande told KickOff.
"Now he will get game-time week in, week out because if you look at the Chiefs' midfield, it is packed at the moment. So, as the boy was growing, it's good for him to go to the environment where he's going to grow, while Chiefs monitor what's going on.
"For example, look at Casemiro. When he got signed by Real Madrid, they loaned him to FC Porto in Portugal, for a season or two, and by that time, the midfield of Real Madrid was packed. But when he came back, he was a strong, established midfielder, and he came back with a lot of experience," added the former Zimbabwe captain.
"That even helped Real Madrid to be unbreakable. The result ended up with three Champions League titles in a row, so sometimes being loaned out is a way of growing in a direction where you need to be competitive, and that's when you come back, you do your best.
"Now, Zwane will be playing in an environment where the demands are not as much as at Chiefs, at Chiefs, one mistake, we tend to kill him, forgetting he's a kid, so this is a good move for him, overall."
