    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The England striker admitted after the game that Bellingham had tried to put him off. However, the Madrid man's efforts were in vain as Kane scored his 43rd goal of the season for Bayern. The draw means it's all to play for in the return at the Santiago Bernabeu next Wednesday, with Kane now revealing exactly what his England team-mate said to him.

  • WHAT BELLINGHAM SAID

Kane told BBC Sport that Bellingham told him after the game what he had said: “In the moment, I didn’t know what he said but I spoke to him after and he said: ‘I know you’re going to go left of the keeper'. On the pitch, I knew he was there but I didn’t know what he said. But I went left anyway. It was nice for me because I saw the keeper go a little bit early and I put it away."

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Kane has been directly involved in 11 goals in the UEFA Champions League this season (eight goals, three assists); the most ever by an English player in a single campaign in the competition.
