In a post-match interview with SABC Sport, Chipezeze expressed gratitude to both his supporters and fellow players.
He began by acknowledging a message from South African legend Itumeleng Khune, who reached out to support the Zimbabwean keeper. “I saw your message, my brother – thank you for supporting me, a legend of the game,” Chipezeze said, extending his thanks to Khune.
His gratitude extended to the Magesi FC fans who traveled from Limpopo to support the team.
“A huge thank you to the supporters who voted for me. You could see they came all the way from Limpopo, and we’re here to make them happy. When they’re happy, I’m happy too, because we’re playing for them.
"They use their hard-earned money to come to watch us play, and we owe them performances like that.”
Reflecting on his journey as a goalkeeper, Chipezeze shared insight into his dedication and growth in the sport.
“It’s all part of the game, especially in our position – you need to be switched on every time. I’ve made a lot of mistakes along the way, but I took the time to sit down, analyze, and see where I could improve.
This was one part of my game that needed work.” He also gave credit to his teammates, saying, “Credit also goes to the boys – we worked very hard today, and, like I said, our supporters are happy.”
