Caf have unveiled the new Caf Champions League trophy to be contested for, starting this season.
The latest offering has a design almost similar to the last one and it was revealed in Johannesburg on Thursday.
Record 12-time African champions Al Ahly became the last team to lift the previous iteration of the Champions League trophy.
CafTHE BIGGER PICTURE
The preceding design has been in use between 2007 and 2004, with Sundowns managing to lift it in 2016.
But Masandawana and Pyramids FC are now bidding to become the first teams to lay their hands on the latest trophy.
Themba Zwane, the Sundowns captain, would also want to be the first skipper to lift this new piece.

Sundowns and Pyramids are finalising their preparations for Saturday's first leg of the final at Loftus Versfeld.
They will then take their fight to Cairo for the second leg on June 1.
