    WHAT HAPPENED?

Kaizer Chiefs have one win in their last six Premier Soccer League games.

On Monday, they will be away in Nelspruit playing TS Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium.

The Rockets have won two of their last three league matches, with the other one ending in a draw which is a massive improvement after a poor start to the season.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Last season, Chiefs managed to get just a point from the Rockets who won at home by a solitary goal before forcing a a 2-2 draw away.

As a matter of fact, Amakhosi have struggled to beat Galaxy; they have one win in 10 matches across all competitions, three losses, and three draws.

It explains why Sphiwe Mahlangu, who scored a brace against the Glamour Boys in the latest meeting that ended 2-2, is optimistic Nasreddine Nabi's men can be stopped.

    WHAT MAHLANGU SAID

“The game against Chiefs gives us a chance to increase our chances of getting into the top eight before this year ends,'' the 29-year-old said as quoted by Sowetan.

“It's a game that's going to be difficult because Chiefs are a big team and they're eager to bounce back after losing against Polokwane.

“We didn't start well but since the new coach has taken over, we've been doing well. We have managed to avoid losing in our last four games and that has boosted our confidence massively.

"We are turning the corner now and we want to see ourselves in the top eight before the end of the year," Mahlangu concluded.

    WHAT NEXT?

Chiefs will miss some key players like Brandon Petersen, Gaston Sirino, and Bradley Cross who are injured.

Coach Nasreddine Nabi will have to come up with ways to motivate his players before another probable upset on Monday.

Galaxy have collected nine points from the same number of matches while Chiefs have managed to register 11 plus eight fixtures.
