    Bayern legend Muller has officially joined MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps for the remainder of the 2025 season, with a Designated Player option for 2026. The 35-year-old World Cup winner was welcomed at Vancouver International Airport by Indigenous leaders and a large crowd of ecstatic fans. New York Red Bulls star Forsberg hailed the move and called it a "great story" for the entire league.

    Speaking to Sport Bild, Forsberg was asked about Muller’s move to MLS and its impact on the team. He praised the legend's arrival, highlighting the German star’s legendary status and the excitement it brings to the league. Forsberg added that with Muller joining Vancouver, the club is now a clear title contender: "Thomas Müller in the MLS is really cool! Vancouver is also a great city, he'll have a great time there. It's a great story for the entire league. Thomas is a legend in Germany; I remember many heated duels with him against Leipzig. America can look forward to him."

    He added: "Of course, they're a title favourite with Thomas Muller. They already have a good team, and now he's joining them, and they're clearly on course for the playoffs. Things could get really good"
