    WHAT HAPPENED?

Bafana Bafana forward Thembinkosi Lorch has explained why he is ecstatic despite Wydad AC's poor run at the Fifa Club World Cup.

The Moroccan titans fell to yet another defeat when they were beaten 4-1 by Juventus in their second group game in Philadelphia.

Although the former Caf Champions are winless so far, Lorch decided to pick lessons from the games played and said there is plenty to learn from them.

    WHAT LORCH SAID

"We face the best teams in the world, and we learn. There is a good team spirit. We've learned a lot of things. We don't dwell on the defeat, but on all the experience gained," Lorch said as per Fifa.com.

"I thank the fans; they give everything for us."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Wydad fell for the second time in a row in the tournament after the Juventus loss, meaning that they will not make it to the knockout stage.

Juventus were denied a clean sheet by Lorch, who collected a pass from Nordin Amrabat and clipped a good finish past Juventus keeper Michele Di Gregorio to score in the 25th minute.

Juventus and Manchester City top Group F with six points, with each enjoying the same goal difference margin.

Lorch's side is third, and Al Ain, also winless, is at the bottom.

    WHAT NEXT FOR LORCH?

The focus for the South African forward is on their next and final game of the group against the UAE side Al Ain.

This will be a chance for Wydad to fight for a win at least, and for Lorch, it is a stage to show the world how good he is once again.
