    TELL ME MORE

Mamelodi Sundowns came from behind to claim a 3-1 victory over Marumo Gallants in a Premier Soccer League game at the Dr Rantlai Petrus Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Junior Dion started the scoring for Bahlabane Ba Ntwa in the 37th minute as Gallants headed into the half-time interval with the lead.

As expected, the Brazilians came out for the second half with aggression and equalized through Marcelo Allende six minutes after the restart. Lucas Ribeiro Costa netted Downs' second goal in the 79th minute before Iqraam Rayners scored the sealing goal three minutes later.

Denis Onyango was sent off after receiving two yellow cards in the dying minutes, and Thapelo Morena had to finish the game as a goalkeeper.

The win in Free State saw Masandawana extend their lead over Orlando Pirates in the PSL table to 12 points. On the other hand, Gallants stayed in 14th spot.

    THE MVP

Although he conceded three goals on the night, Washington Arubi should be acknowledged for his contributions throughout the match.

    THE BIG LOSER

The loss for Gallants could pile more pressure on Dan Malesela, who has been under scrutiny since his arrival, with his future at the club reportedly in jeopardy.

However, it remains to be seen whether the Gallant's management will dismiss him or allow him to continue in his role after his side's impressive performances against star-studded Downs.
