Orlando Pirates extended their winning streak in the league to five games which saw them climb to the top of the PSL log standings.
They started the match on fire, relentlessly pressuring Richard Ofori’s goal in search of an opener, which arrived in the 31st minute. Mohau Nkota unleashed a thunderous strike that left the Ghanaian goalkeeper floored.
Just two minutes later, the teenager struck again, coolly finishing off a slick assist from Relebohile Mofokeng.
Nkota came inches away from completing his hat trick, but his shot rattled the post with Ofori well beaten.
Pirates lost Deano Van Rooyen to injury in the first half, adding to their growing medical woes, but his absence wasn’t felt as the team performed seamlessly.
They were also boosted by the return of Paseka Mako, who made his comeback after a spell on the sidelines due to injury.
Amazulu never posed a real threat, waiting until stoppage time to find a consolation goal through Pule Ekstein.
The scoreline could have been more one-sided, but Ofori made several crucial saves to keep the final tally at a respectable 2-1.
