Recent reports claim that three-time Premier Soccer League champions SuperSport United have sold their top-tier status.

The Swanky Boys have been struggling to meet their financial obligations, explaining the sale of their top stars to other teams.

Speculations have it that the team will be renamed Celtic United and will be joining Mzansi's top-flight division from the 2025/26 edition.
