    WHAT HAPPENED?

Orlando Pirates legend Moeneeb Josephs has savagely trolled Kaizer Chiefs fans in a social media post.

The Amakhosi fan tried to silence the retired goalkeeper over Bucs' chances of winning the Caf Champions League. In response, Josephs sarcastically referred to Saturday's game between the Glamour Boys and Gallants as the 'Chappies Cup' duel.

    WHAT JOSEPHS SAID

The fan, going by the name Hanayi0, tried to silence Josephs by referring to the Pirates' 2013 Champions League final loss to Al Ahly.

"Y'all missed a chance in 2013; it's not happening today," the Khosi fan posted.

In his reply, Josephs did not hold back, mockingly saying the Chiefs-Gallants showdown will bring the country to a standstill.

"I hear you, brother. All the best in your Chappies League Cup semi-final fixture against Gallants. Tomorrow, the whole country will be close to their radios listening to this tightly contested game," Josephs responded.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

This season's Chiefs and Pirates are having contrasting performances as far as performance is concerned. They are simply worlds apart.

Whereas the Sea Robbers are hunting trophies on multiple fronts, Chiefs are chasing only one.

Bucs are Caf Champions League semi-finalists and are set to face Pyramids of Egypt in the second round after the first-leg showdown ended in a 0-0 draw at the FNB Stadium.

Jose Riveiro's side are also applying pressure on Mamelodi Sundowns in the Premier Soccer League title race.

Sitting second, Pirates are far ahead of Chiefs, who are eighth, with 16 points separating the two Soweto rivals. While Chiefs are desperately hoping to finish in the top eight, Bucs on the other hand, are trying to end Sundowns' dominance in the league.

Pirates, the defending champions, are set to face Amakhosi in the Nedbank Cup final, with each set of fans wishing that their side emerges victorious, given the bragging rights the match carries.
