  • Sabelo Radebe, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021Backpagepix

    Sabelo Radebe

Radebe was released by Kaizer Chiefs in July 2025 following an unsuccessful loan spell at Richards Bay. A technically gifted midfielder with energy and flair, Radebe is still only 25 and has room to grow.

Promoted to the Chiefs senior team in 2021, he showed flashes of promise but struggled for consistent game time. For clubs willing to invest in youth and offer a nurturing environment, Radebe could be a long-term asset.

  • Keletso Makgalwa and Wayde Jooste, Sekhukhune United vs AmaZulu Backpage

    Wayde Jooste

Jooste’s exit from AmaZulu came as a surprise after a solid 2024/25 season in which he made 22 appearances.

The right-back, who previously turned out for Orlando Pirates and Maritzburg United, combines blistering pace with a relentless work ethic and precision delivery from wide areas. His profile makes him a dependable option for clubs seeking width and defensive reinforcement.

  • Fortune Makaringe, Cape Town City, Nyakala Raphadu, Polokwane City, May 2025Backpage

    Fortune Makaringe

Makaringe joined Cape Town City in 2024 after five seasons with Orlando Pirates, but was released in July 2025. A composed attacking midfielder with excellent ball retention and passing range, Makaringe was once a regular fixture in the Buccaneers’ engine room.

His experience, including continental competition and national team appearances, makes him a stabilising presence in midfield. Still only 32, he’s a smart pick-up for clubs seeking leadership and control.

  • Abbubaker Mobara and Patrick Maswanganyi, Orlando Pirates vs AmaZuluBackpage

    Abbubaker Mobara

Mobara’s contract with AmaZulu expired after two seasons, leaving the versatile defender-midfielder without a club. His ability to play across the backline and in defensive midfield makes him a valuable asset for any coach seeking tactical flexibility.

Mobara has previously featured for Ajax Cape Town, Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City, and his experience at both club and international level adds weight to his candidacy.

  • Mduduzi Mdantsane, Kaizer ChiefsBackpage

    Mduduzi Mdantsane

Mdantsane was released by Kaizer Chiefs in mid-2025 after a brief stint that followed his successful run at Cape Town City. Known for his creativity and ability to operate between the lines, Mdantsane is a proven PSL performer with a knack for unlocking defences.

At 30, he’s still in his prime and could be the missing spark for a side lacking attacking rhythm. His technical flair and experience make him one of the most attractive free agents currently available.

  • Rivaldo Coetzee, Mamelodi Sundowns, September 2024Backpagepix

    Rivaldo Coetzee

After seven seasons at Mamelodi Sundowns, Coetzee parted ways with the reigning champions at the end of the 2024/25 campaign. Injuries may have limited his appearances, but his pedigree is unquestionable.

A former Ajax Cape Town standout, Coetzee is a rare breed - comfortable both in central defence and midfield, with a calmness and tactical awareness that few can match.
